This fully battle-ready replica of a historical Viking helmet is made from 2 mm steel. The two helmet halves are doubly welded together (from inside and out). The steel brackets as well as the 2 mm spectical section are riveted to the helmet. This type of sturdy workmanship guarantees a robust product, that offers the best possible protection during battle reenactment.
This type of helmet was popular among the Vikings during the 8th and 9th centuries. Chain mail coifs were often worn underneath or aventails attached to the helmet.
